Engaging Website Design

At Dallas Web Guy, I believe that your website is an extension of yourself as a business owner. It’s how you engage with your customers, inform them of who you are and why they need your services. So where do you currently stand in the online realm?

If you are in need of some serious website help, believe me – you’re not alone. There are thousands of local and small businesses who are trying to obtain one thing: their share of the marketplace. Going back to Economics 101, every company competes against all other entities that share the same marketplace space. Naturally, your business is going to feel the pressure of competitors growing larger or multiplying all around you. After all, aren’t you trying to do the same thing?

In today’s technology driven environment, using yesterday’s marketing strategies and business practices doesn’t cut it. You need to continuously adapt to your surroundings to stay relevant and convince your customer to buy from you.

Our Ever Adapting Landscape

I like to ask all of my customers to do one simple thing. Spend 15 – 30 minutes asking yourself a few simple & honest questions. Keep in mind the perspective of evaluating your Marketing Strategies.

  • What is my competition doing?
  • What am I doing?
  • Am I making as much as I should be?
  • Where am I spending most of my time & money?
  • Are my efforts paying off or do I need to change?

Whew! That’s a tough brain storming strategy? Can I take a moment of rest to first off congratulate you on having an honest discussion with yourself? Like it or not, we all want to feel like we are successful and growing our businesses. We all want to provide for our families, stabilize our futures and not stress as regularly about how to keep the invoices moving. Asking ourselves honest questions is the first step to identify where to invest our future efforts and get to the next level.

Business is as much a mindset as it is a skillset. Deciding to adapt, taking risks, evaluating your landscape and pushing through tough times is all a part of the job. But, if you’d made it to my page and are taking the time to read this, then I don’t have to explain it all to you. You’re certainly a business owner who cares enough to invest the time to learn and grow. Moving on!

Website Designs: Genesis Framework

When browsing my site, you will here me reference several vendors of choice on a regular basis. One of my favorite vendors of choice is My Studiopress. These folks are amazing at creating website templates that are flexible yet communicative among each other. What I mean is that they are interchangeable and can be swapped out at any time for another template without messing up your data. Now that’s a nice perk!

The Genesis Frame uses a system of themes titled “Genesis Child Themes.” Anytime you see this verbage it means that you are working within the Genesis Framework with an author that knows how to code these templates in a very efficient way.

Most of the websites that I build uses these templates and my customers are grateful for it. Every now and then an owner will decide to change his website look. At that point, it’s certainly nice to know that you can swap out your current skin for a new look without messing up your precious marketing platform.
